I am a qualified supervisor practising since 2019. My theoretical approaches include Inskipp and Proctor/Hawkins and Shohet and I strive to be guided by your needs and preferred learning styles within supervision.

Finding the right supervisor for your current practice, stage of development and support needs is of great importance. My overall aim as a supervisor is to provide you with a good balance of support and challenge, so that you ensure ethical practice, develop and increase your competences and skills, explore difficulties and celebrate successes, feel restored and develop your reflective and reflexive abilities. I see supervision as a collaborative and creative endeavour based on trust, reflection and exploration.

As an experienced and qualified adults and children/young people integrative counsellor I can work with and supervise counsellors practising from a wide range of therapeutic modalities and who are working with adults and/or children/young people.

I am experienced in providing individual and group supervision to qualified, newly qualified or in training counsellors. I also have experience in supervising other health care professionals, occupational therapists, career advisors, head-teachers, teachers, mentors, coaches. Last, I am familiar with and able to support counsellors, who are interested in applying for BACP accreditation.

As a supervisor I have worked and continue to work in a wide variety of settings, including private practice, the non-profit sector, higher and further education, schools and children/young people services.

My supervision style is relational aiming to provide a supportive, informative and collaborative environment, where you and I can talk freely about your work. I value curiosity and kindness whilst helping you work towards personal and professional development as well as ensuring that you are maintaining your self-care and that you provide a competent and ethical practice.

I follow the BACP’s Ethical Framework, and I receive regular monthly consultative supervision for all my supervisory work.

I offer face to face individual supervision from my private practice at all 4 practice locations of The Eaves. I also can offer online or telephone individual and group supervision.

I suggest that we have a brief phone call or video call before arranging to meet for a first supervision session, to discuss and decide together if how I work as a supervisor sounds like it would suit you.

Supervision is a joint endeavour in which a practitioner with the help of a supervisor, attends to their clients, themselves as part of their client practitioner relationships and the wider systemic context, and by so doing improves the quality of their work, transforms their client relationships, continuously develops themselves, their practice and the wider profession”
